Can I use magnets to open kitchen cabinets instead of adding knobs or pulls?

   chose not to use knobs either. They just use the corner of the cabinets to open. Originally I thought this was a dumb idea, but five years later they still have a smooth finish, a nice clean look, and no evidence of discoloration. I would make sure they have a good quality coat of polyurethane or something simiar
