In the usa, manufactured cabinets come in widths of 3" increments so you could be getting 12" 15" 18' 21' 24" etc up to 48". most kitchen setups contain several sized to accomodate the size of the room, centering on the window etc. so if you buy a kitchen worth of used cabinets, you could separate the individual ones and rearrange them in endless combinations. Just play around with it and you should be able to put something together that will work for you.

Why would you ask that? Does size matter when you go buy a new dress? Of course it does. And just like buying cloths, you must buy the proper sized cabinets to fit. Buying a bunch of old used cabinets and hoping they will fit your kitchen is like buying a random dress or shirt from a garage sale and hoping they will fit. Chances are real good they will not.

First get a measuring tape, at least 12'! Measure the space you want the cabinets in, both height, width & depth. Do a rough sketch of the space, allowing room for the number of cabinets you may need for either base or over counter cabinets.
There are many standard sized preowned cabinets, try to get the ones closest to the sizes you need! The use of cleats are a big help in their alignment!
Good Luck!
