How can I remove a horrible smell from my kitchen wood cabinets and wall?
In my kitchen, a couple of months ago an expired can of clam chowder exploded and left a horrible smell on the wood cabinets and a wall. I tried using different things to get rid of the smell: bleach, wood cleaner, baking soda, etc., but nothing works! What can I use to get rid of the smell?
We didn't know the can was expired so when it was opened, it exploded! We were able to get our money back, but we were not able not get rid of the smell.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I’ve got the best solution for eliminating the odor for good… and safe and totally fragrance free. Go out and get a couple of the FRIDGE-IT activated carbon odor absorbers – little purple cube – not the imitations. costs $2 – $3 dollars each and put one or two in each cabinet. Totally unscented so it actually eliminates odor rather than covering up with some nasty fragrance and totally safe to use.
I’ve used these for worst smells including spoiled fish in car and for closets, fridge etc. Also have two cats and use these on litter box – they are FANTASTIC> No spills or chemicals to worry about. You can buy these in kitchen gadget stores or just go direct which is what I do – contact them at customerservice@innofresh.com and ask for order form. You get it right away.
Definitely the way to go. try it.
Good luck
You may have to just paint them with this stuff called killz (not sure on the spelling), it is like a primer but permanently gets rid of some odors. Then you paint over it. You can get it at wally world, home depot, lowes, etc.
First though, I would wipe them down with straight white vinegar. Then I would place bowls of vinegar (a lot of them) in the cabinets. Then I would shut the cabinets and leave them shut for about a week.
