sure, just rough them up a bit with sandpaper so the paint will stick, then prime and paint.
Sure -people do it all the time.
Yeah i think like a green would look good with that idea. Have fun sound like ur a really bold person.
Sure, its your kitchen, you can do whatever you want. Most people who reface the doors also put a veneer in the rest of cupboards
Yes you can but the difference will still be noticeable. A peel and stick veneer of the same specie and finish as the doors would be a better and more aesthetically appealing approach.
Absolutely.
I would go to Home Depot, or Lowe’s to find someone help you with this project.
Wood cabinets can certainly be repainted. You may need to prime the remaining portion of the cabinets. That would depend on the finish (varnish, poly, etc). Check with Home Depot or Lowe’s if you are not sure. A lot of people have done this, with significant success. I would first suggest that you perform a thorough analysis of the cabinets themselves to make sure they are structurally sound before you invest money in refacing them. Nice fronts and lousy bases are not going to make the bases any better. Bottom line, you may have to strip the bases before you start painting them.
