KITCHEN CABINETS:kitchen cabinets door repair?
Our kitchen cabinets are mad of I believe mdf product.
The doors that are used the most have problems. The edges are separating or expanding and we have tried sand and doing a touch up paint. The problem looks similar to cardboard getting wet.

Hey Casa, MDF is probably what you have, and there’s no real way to repair this type of swelling, short of what you’re trying to do. The older types of MDF were inferior to what’s around today. Any touch up paint can’t be latex or water based because it will just swell the fibers again. These sound like older cabinets and it may be time to replace them.
