I'm getting new cabinets, but am having a hard time deciding which wood, stain, color, etc., to use. I want to make sure it is of good quality, but I do have to keep within a reasonable budget. The main thing is that I want to make sure it is current, but classic enough that it never goes out of style. Can somebody offer some suggestions? Also, I plan on having hardwood, or maybe laminate wood finish floors. It is a galley kitchen design and rectangular approximately 18 x 12 which includes the eating area. Thanks for your ideas!
I need to clean my kitchen cabinets and I'm not sure how to get the grease build up off of them. In the past I've use furniture polish to help spruse them up, and just regular cleaners like soap and water, but it doesn't do the job. When I clean, I like to do a thorough job, and my kitchen cabinets have always been lacking that because of me not being able to find the right cleaner to cut through the grime and grease.
What should I use? My kitchen cabinets are the generic wood kind...I think maple. Not too sure. This house was built back in 92 and it has the original cabinets. When we bought the house in 2003, the previous owner did not clean them very well, and ever since, I've had a hard time keeping them clean and cleaning them thoroughly.
Any tips, advice will be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
