We measured up and bought Replacement doors for our kitchen cabinets, they are the correct size, but have come with hinge holes pre drilled into the sides..and now we attempt to hang them on the original hinges, the holes are not lining up with the hinges, but only 'just' not lining up..therefore we cannot just drill another hole (these are the hidden sprung type hinges) we could possibly turn the doors upside down and start again on the other edge, but this will leave 2 quite big holes on the inside outer edge of each door.. also i am unsure which drill bit is needed to create these holes in the first place? and also whether any other type of hinge is suitable for a kitchen cabinet door? Thanks in advance.

I recently sanded and stained all my kitchen cabinets, they are solid oak. Then the realtor said they are too darm (cherrywood color) and I should paint them white. White kitchens are the in thing i guess. Anyhow, do I have to sand them down again, or can I just paint over them with a thick coat of kills, then white paint? What is the best method to use?

I have to clean 12 year old, builder grade kitchen cabinets that are dirty and greasy. The cabinets are in good condition other than that. The hardware is fine. They just need a through cleaning! What cleaning products should I use? I am not trying to go overboard with painting or refinishing.

I'm looking for knobs and pulls for my kitchen cabinets.

I like the look of some oil-rubbed bronze finishes, but I'm hesitant about choosing because of a bad experience with a faux finish. I'm not looking for something particularly high end, but I'd like something with a convincing finish that doesn't rub off with use.

Thanks in advance!

My kitchen cabinets are painted in a white semi gloss paint. I want to change them to a white high gloss paint. Should I sand before using primer or should I just prime over the semi gloss paint? Thanks for any advice.

The kitchen cabinets right above my stove are disgusting. The last people who lived here must have cooked a lot of really greasy food on the stove and now the cabinets right above it are gross with the residue. I'm not sure what I can use to remove the grease/oil/smoke residue that will be safe for the wood. Any ideas?

I have refaced kitchen cabinets that are light colored. I would like to darken the color of the wood. Is it possible to paint over refaced cabinets? If so, what type of paint would I use?

im planning to redo my kitchen cabinets. i would really want to give them a more modern and fresher look without using a large amount of money. what should i do to give them the look that i want?

This may seem like a silly question, but I was interested in refinishing my Kitchen Cabinets. I realize that if they are covered in polyurethane, I will have to sand first, and if not, I could just use a refinisher. So I was wondering, how can you tell if a cabinet has been covered in polyurethane?
