I dont want to strip and sand. Is there a stain that does not require all the work it takes? I have light wood colored cabinets but want them darker. What product should I use?

Hi there. Helping a friend do a project involving metal cabinets. I wanted to know if anyone has used ESP Easy Surface Prep and what do you think of it? Should I save my money or is it a good product? Thanks
The manufacturer is named Flood and here is the site http://www.flood.com/Flood/Products/Interior/Specialty/ESP+Specialty+Page.htm

I wanted to know what type of wood you used for your kitchen and bathroom cabinets? I am deciding on what to use and would like to know if you liked what you had?

I just signed a contract for a new home, but I thought upgrading the cabinets was way too overpriced with the builder. In lew of replacing the cabinets I did choose, which is the lightest standard cabinet offered, is there a good stain I can use to stain them darker?

I want my kitchen to look like you just walked into italy. I know it wont look as good as actually walking into Italy but im talking about what can I use for decoration the top of my cabinets, they don't touch the ceiling so i would like to to decorations on top of it. But im not really sure what besides like wine and grapes and a chef guy. What else would work?? i need all the ideas i can get thanks!!

They are wood, lighter auburn like color, there is not a lot of shine to the finish, it's been about 55 yrs since the cabinets were put in by the original owners. I want them painted white, to add brightness to the kitchen.

kind of contemporary?
