Trying to put kitchen cabinets on a concrete floor, do I need a barrier between them and the floor?
I will be making a laundry room in my basement. When framing in walls I know to use treated lumber for the sill plate of the wall but should I also use some type of barrier between the cabinets and the concrete floor? I am considering painting the floor with an epoxy floor covering, would this be sufficient or do I need something else?

hi if you seal the floor with epoxy it is not necessary to do anything else, providing the floor will not have any standing water.hope this helps good luck
I would use a piece of laminate flooring cut to the same width as the toe-kick from the wall. This will keep the cabinet components from picking up moisture. I would also seal the edges of the plywood or particle board that will be in contact with the floor. Laundry rooms can have a moisture problem and it’s best to be safe.
