What color appliances look better with natural maple kitchen cabinets?
I'm remodeling the kitchen and using natural maple cabinets. They are made of maple wood, have no stain, but just a urethane finish. Very light color, but popular. Would black or white appliances look better with these cabinets? I'm selling the house, so I don't want to buy expensive (stainless steel) appliances.

White will work but the most popular color we have seen in high end kitchen remodels and award winning designs is black appliances. It gives it a more upscale appearance in terms of value. White may be a personal default but can be considered a fashion faux pas in the designer world.
White is usually the cheapest color in appliances and considered the default. Thats why you see it in so many places. Apartments and rentals and such.
If you are wondering about resale and the appearance to your guests then go with black. Designers dont create award winning kitchens for nothing. They are to turn heads and that color is black.
At the end of the day it is what you are comfortable with. No one can force you into something you dont like.
I think white looks best with lighter wood.
white is probably best if you want to keep in light. black would be okay but may look weird…
black
Of all the homes I have worked in in 30 years, black is most prevalent with natural maple cabinets.
If your countertops are dark, then black..if not, then white would work well.
